Emma Martin Named Team Captain of UPEI Women's Hockey.
Emma brings 4 years of CIS experience to the dressing room.
In a statement made by Head Coach Bruce Donaldson to UPEI Athletic's & Recreation Head Office yesterday, Emma Martin has been officially named the new captain of the UPEI Women's Varsity Hockey team.
"Emma brings 4 years of CIS experience to the dressing room. She clearly understands the importance of balancing athletics, academics and social responsibility."
Martin #27, who is in her final year of eligibility will be joined by Assistant Captains:
Lindsay Johnston #59 - Eligibility (Year 3)
Madison Clarke #4- Eligibility (Year 3)
Emma Weatherbie #7- Eligibility (Year 3)
Rachel Colle #17- Eligibility (Year 2)
Donaldson also noted, "Emma has a great personality, is very committed to her personal fitness and is an amazing leader on and off the ice. Emma's a very positive person who always looks for the best in all, she is refreshing in nature and always the optimist."
