The Aigles Bleus scored a goal in each half and Mattéo Blanc recorded a shutout, as they blanked the UPEI Panthers 2-0 Friday night. Robert Kamano in the 21st minute and Ashraf Achkra in extra time found the target for the blue and gold. Blanc made four saves, while Evan Couturier countered with three saves in the loss. Moncton had five cornerkicks to the opponent's two. The game featured tight and intensive play by both teams. There was a lot of play in the centre of the pitch and both teams' defenders did their job.
The Panthers are scheduled to visit the University of New Brunswick Reds on Sunday at 5:15 p.m.
