Ben McFarlane

Ben McFarlane is a third-year arts student from Ayr, Ontario. He came up big on October 4, scoring with just 37 seconds left in a tightly contested game against the Dalhousie University Tigers. The Tigers would tie the game at one apiece with seconds remaining, sending it into overtime. McFarlane came through once more, netting the only goal in the shootout to secure the Panthers' victory.

 

"When we needed it most, Benny stepped up in two big moments in our game against Dalhousie," said UPEI Men's Hockey head coach Forbes MacPherson. "He had the original go-ahead goal late in the game. Then after Dalhousie tied the game up, he came through in the shootout for the win."
